I am looking to relocate to a big city that is "pro-green". A big city where SUV driving is frowned upon, and recycling is encouraged. Is there a city in America that meets those expectations?

Portland Oregon and Boulder Colorado are two champs in my book.

Cities where you have large liberal-leaning universities tend to fall into that category. I'd also put Ann Arbor, Michigan onto the list.

You honestly want your city government to "frown upon" driving an SUV?? In what fashion? Dirty looks from cops or city employees? Or taxing what is perceived to be undesirable behavior?

God, I hope no such city exists in this country.
