Relocation to Boonville, NC (Star: houses, job market, middle school)

My girlfriend and I have been looking to move from southern jersey for several months now, we are sick of the commute's the traffic and the unfriendliness of people here for the most part

Her parents and sister have recently relocated to harmony from jersey and in several visits down there we fell in love with the area. We have physically gone and seen close to 50 houses and in our last trip down there, which we just returned from yesterday we found a house in boonville that we simply love.

So i have a few questions about the area that im not 100% sure about.

Is it a good place to raise a family, because we do want kids and im curious if anyone has any personal experience with the schools and just the atmosphere for kids

Its 6am and im having a hard time remember the questions that i had, but if anyone has any personal information about boonville and the surrounding areas

I know little to nothing about Boonville. Only that it's in Yadkin County and is close to our gorgeous mountains.

I looked up the school report cards for the Boonville schools. Boonville Elementary (grades K-8) and Starmount High School both scored well academically. There were 8 violent acts at the elementary/middle school (population 549) last school year and 5 at the high school (population 748).

what do you plan on doing for work in booneville? There's not exactly a huge job market there.

well it has a short commute to a few Lowe's which is where i work, and she's a nurse and has been looking into nursing homes and such in jonesville and surrounding towns
