Can we assume that such a distance and the legalities means that you have a job to come to?
Good luck.

Nope. No one can.

Even if you gave real clue of what you consider would make one spot "best" (or not)...
the most you can get is anecdote and conjecture based on OTHER peoples experiences and bias'.

Rent is almost always on a monthly basis; utilities are rarely included. VERIFY.
$500 won't get much unless it's a share situation.

Don't expect to find your own place until you are in NC.
Look them over and ask more focused questions about X vs Y? Feel free.
Use the company address when doing your own inquiries and when mapping.

Talk to your employer about what TEMPORARY or shared situations are available
in very close proximity (walk/bicycle) to the business location you're coming to daily.

Take some time (3-9 months?) to get established at the job, make some friends,
get a car, learn your way around and THEN --based on your experiences-- decide.

hth

550-600 hundred can get you a 1 bedroom in GBoro. If you like older apartment units built in the 70s, early 80s with little style, not a good location, smaller square footage and possibly in an elevated crime area (not necessarily assault based crimes ...more so property crimes) or an area near one of the colleges.

And that's fine if you're OK with that.

Try apartment finder because there are a few gems on the lower end of that range. You just have to go visit them. You might have to visit 5-7 apt. homes in your range, tho. Plan a day in GBoro to do that.

Do you want to live near work? You realize you'll need a car, right?

There are some apartments complexes in the NW area that might work. That part of Guilford County is really pretty.

Location is not really important to be close to work as the job will involve traveling around a lot ,yes I will have a car
Want to love somewhere nice not to expensive but just a nice area will pay a little more if location is good

If you can tell us what you've seen online that looks good to you, we can tell you more about specific areas.
