I couldn't agree more with the person's email to TJs. Having three grocery stores within rock throwing distance of each other is absurd. TJs, for lack of imagination, could have easily been the anchor that resurrects Quaker Village. Instead Wally World will be that savior and patrons going al fresca will be treated with freaks that Wal Mart tends to attract. If TJs is so damn, f*****g great fanboys would gladly have driven the additional two miles to get their groceries.
Whole Foods pulled a flank tactic with Harris Teeter and, IMO, had 4 gorgeous pin oak trees cut down for the sake of economic visibility. The city claimed they were sugar gum trees, or something like that, were sick and would have had to be taken down eventually. Not even so much as an eyelash was batted.
No issue with your statement CBC, just ranting.
I do agree, if Trader Joe's has such a big following, It really could go just about anywhere in Greensboro But you know what, if Greensboro never ever gets a Trader Joe's we have our local based Deep Roots Market and its downtown

Or just drive to the Trader Joe's in Winston Salem. People who live in cities without one do the same all over the country.
