I just remembered one of those things I like every now and then...a club or cafe that has jazz music. It can be any kind of jazz but as long as it's live? Does Greensboro have anything like this? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't but it sure would be cool.

"The Press" (a wine cafe/restaurant) in the Southside Neighborhood of downtown Greensboro has live jazz music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Its less than a block away from my apartment.

There is also a 3-floor nightclub/bar/lounge in downtown Greensboro called "The Renaissance Jazz Cafe'". You can hear live Jazz and Blues there. I hear you can get a good martini there

When the weather is warm at nights, there are usually jazz bands playing downtown outside near the patio area of Cheesecakes By Alex. Its usually traditional jazz there. I think you'd like living downtown

I will say one thing Greensboro and the Triad market lacks is a contemporary jazz radio station. We have country, rock and R&B/Hip Hop, but no Jazz station like Charlotte has.

Here is a photo of "The Press Wine Cafe"

The Green Bean on Elm Street has what you are looking for- bands, jazz and otherwise, with good coffee, wifi, and even beer.

Tell pete that Michael Driver sent you.

Also, tate street coffee on tate street. Not a lot of room but they do have bands there on occasion.
