Wrong again. The Alt Right All White RINO's have gone off the deep end.

Bottom line here (as with most hot issues) is with the language in the Constitution (& Amendments).
They were all well intended and based on circumstances 100, 150, 235 years ago.
The world has changed.

In this particular case, the first line in the first section of the 14th A is overly broad ...
with inclusive language intended for the freed slaves (and their children).
It served pretty well as we grew and expanded into the early 20thC.
That world, and those needs, don't exist any longer.

Similar is true with the 2nd Amendment...
well intended and based on circumstances 235 years ago.
It also warrants amendment.

So I'm wrong and you're right. Why doesn't this surprise me? I'm interested in your opinion, but I wonder if you couldn't make it a bit less opaque. Spit it out, we don't bite. Yes the world has changed, but our Founders were prescient men and they understood an excess of democracy to be of the gravest danger to our Republic. A populace unworthy of representative democracy. They weren't wrong. Less so now than ever.

I'm wrong "again"? I probably shouldn't ask, but which other time?

Who thinks I have done what? It's almost like you're losing track of which name you're using again.

And you keep talking about wing nuts for some weird reason. The OP is the wing nut. Spreading fear about what is really not much of an issue.

"The OP is the wing nut." Not you, of course. "Republicans have gone off the deep end." Not Democrats, of course. This is wing nut territory.

After the OP raised his initial concerns, at least as many subsequent posters agreed with him as disagreed. All wing nuts, spreading fear? But not you, of course. And through your extraordinary powers of perception, you knew immediately that he/she was a "racist". "Spreading Right Wing propaganda." This is typical Left Wing race hustling and perilously close to wing nut territory.

Not Republicans. The Alt Right ALL White RINO's mentioned.
You know, the people who put that reprehensible POS into the White House.

ftr... I'd LOVE to see more REAL Republicans once again.

Yes. This. Exactly this.

The Democrats have their own nonsense too, but not nearly to the level of the current Republican "leadership".

On this issue, the right wingnuts are the problem.

There are plenty of issues where the left wingnuts should step back too (including on the issue of immigration).

It appears the NC Legislature may not have been aware of this development. Or, so they claim.
