NC Family Friendly 40 companies (Greensboro, Winston-Salem: school, store, bus)

Hi all,

I saw this article in the Piedmont Parent magazine that we get free at the grocery store and loved what I saw. It comes with a graph. Anyhow, it lists some of the best companies to work for, some of them were listed as even having on-site child care or on-site health care! I was shocked and like I said, loved what I read!

Thought I'd pass this along for the ones in NC trying to get a job. My friend in VA who is recently divorced and has 3 kids, is terrorized by her ex and he is a deadbeat dad now who won't pay. She just got a job as a school bus driver, and I couldn't help thinking of her when I saw this.

Click on Articles and then Features, and there will be icons for you to access below (Septe3mber 2008 issue); however, online it only provides a list it seems, and not the full article. Sorry about that. But it's still out at the supermarket for all those who are in town!

Make sure you check out the companies closely before joining- I know that at least one of the companies mentioned is "family friendly" but is still not a decent place to work because of management.
