Hi,
I´m interested on visiting High Point next month because of The High Point Market. I´m from Ecuador, South America.
I don´t know how far is Hight Point from Charlotte´s Airport... in which town should I stay??? some people had told me to stay in Concord or Greensboro... Would you help me giving me some information about it???
Thanks.

If you can I would try to fly into PTI. (Greensboro, High Point Airport)
It is about an hour and half drive from CLT airport.
High Point is ok but unless you can find a hotel in downtown High Point (which are probably scare at this point) I also would consider staying at the hotels by PTI and use a shuttle (may be free) to the furniture market or least ask before making a reservation the whole triad will have room rates higher and relatively book up . Concord is about a hour from High Point and I dont think you want to drive that far or have time to have fun but rates will not be effected by the furniture market and it about 30 minutes north of the airport on Interstate 85.

I would guess that the Furniture Market or the High Point Convention & Visitors Bureau would have some sort of lodging bureau to help market attendees to find accomodations.

you also might want to try craigs list and I am not sure of other sources to search but many home owners rent out there homes for the market.

Many furniture buyers fly into Charlotte because they get better connections and cheaper airfare and rent a car there. It is about an hour and half drive to High Point if I remember what my husband said. I never go, but he has gone to every market the last ten years. He stays where ever he can, booking now you might run into a lot of no vacancies and higher prices. Many buyers book months in advance.

I'd imagine many buyers book from one market to the next.
