Knox White's Twitter page says that Dean & Deluca will be opening in downtown Greenville. This is amazing! What a huge coup for Greenville!

To illustrate how huge this is, Dean & Deluca's U.S. stores are in:

New York City
Washington, DC
Napa Valley
Kansas City
Charlotte

And now Greenville!

They obviously don't put their stores just anywhere. They carefully choose cities (and specific areas within those cities) which contain a vital mix of money and desirability. Looking forward to hearing more about this development.

Good news! I'd love to see this store open in the space vacated by Restaurant O.

Wonderful! I think they'll do well here. But, I believe we've heard this might happen before (several years ago).

Edit: Wow! Guess it's official! http://www.wyff4.com/news/24456795/detail.html (broken link)

This is MEGA! Dean & Deluca is to food, what Neimans or Saks is to clothing.
The above listed US locations are their ONLY US locations. In addition, they have a few international locations......Tokyo, Dubai, Kuwait and Taipei.

Guys, this is HUGE!

Excellent news to wake up to on a Saturday morning!!!!!!!!!!!

Kudo's on this!
Dean & Deluca is fabulous.....has multiple locations here around NYC!

All that is needed now in Greenville is a Barney's New York and Saks.

Just can't go wrong copying the fabulous city that never sleeps!

To the moderators.

Funny that someone who lives in New York can't just walk in and snap their own original picture. Maybe they don't own a camera? Maybe they don't really live in New York? Hmmmm......

Yes, though, great news for Greenville. Wish Columbia would step it up a notch on retail so we could enjoy shopping when in the state capital.

I still remember when Dean & Deluca got a lot of play back when the Today Show started doing their studio with the windows looking out on the crowd gathered. Lots of the camera shots show that Dean & Deluca's in Rockefeller Center and those guys used to come on the show for demos and stuff.

I've been to the Dean & Deluca's in Ballentyne. Can't wait to go to one in Greenville!

Dean & Deluca is great this is awesome for Greenville!! Anyone know the proposed site downtown? I live in the DC area and we have a very nice store in Georgetown that is ALWAYS busy. I'm sure the one in Greenville will be too!
