I knew Sage Automotive's corp HQ was going in that building, but there are other things in the works as well. ICAR moving toward battery lab | greenvilleonline.com | The Greenville News
According to the article, this will be the first multi-tenant "office building" at the research park. As for other office space in the building, Geolas said ICAR is talking with 10 companies considering leases, and eight of them are new technology companies.
“We hope to have some announcements in the next 30 days on some additional leases,” he said. “There’s a lot of interest in the building.”
The four office buildings open at ICAR now are mostly dedicated to single tenants occupying lots of space.
In contrast, the new building will provide smaller amounts of space for multiple tenants, making room for firms that want to be at the research park but don't need an entire building.
Also, CU-ICAR wants to put a Battery Lab in the building, depending on interest from manufacturers.
Cool I'm staring at the building right now (I work right across from it) and it is coming along very quick now. At first when they said it was supposed to be ready for occupancy in the 1st quarter of 2011 I scoffed because the construction was coming along extremely slow, but now it's picked up pace significantly.
Clemson University is planning another expansion at its International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) campus in Greenville. A new building similar to the recently-opened Center for Emerging Technologies (shown above) is being strongly considered. The CET building will be at full capacity very soon.

Great to hear! Sounds like CU-ICAR is strong and getting stronger.
Let hope the new building doesn't have a leaky roof!
