I was wondering if you could tell me if you know anything about Johnston S.C.? the area, the people, schools etc? Thank you again for your help and all your beautiful pictures. We've finally broke the news to my parents that we're getting ready to put the house up for sale and I showed her the pictures you took. She actually said . "I can see why you love it so much in the Greenville area" She was amazed at how beautiful the pictures were that you took. She said one reminded her of a Thomas Kinkade!
Skyliner, your pictures are amazing and the first thing that drew me to your area! Each time that thread is updated I fall even more in love. g-man430, it was your recent pics that pushed me over the edge! Saw them Friday night and just have to come see for ourselves. Booked a trip for next month and can't wait! Thanks to you both!!!
Thanks for the kind comments, Cairnsclan97 and Drinkwat. Your replies are encouraging and give me a feeling of satisfaction, since that was my purpose for posting the photos.
Cairnsclan97, I have no firsthand knowledge about the town of Johnston, but I can assure you that Edgefield County is absolutely gorgeous. You probably didn't know this, but it is not in the Upstate, so it would be well over an hour drive to Greenville, but much shorter to Augusta and Columbia. Check out the map on Google to see exactly where it is located. One thing to keep in mind if you locate there is that our beautiful mountains would be well out of sight and over an hour away (maybe even 2 hrs).
Cairnsclan, I wanted to mention that if you are considering moving that far away from Greenville, I can definitely recommend Abbeville as a nice small town to live in. It has lots of history and has been undergoing a nice revitalization lately. Other considerations in the Upstate would be Seneca, Walhalla, Westminster, Liberty, and Clemson.
