I am moving to Greenville, and was looking for a movie house that plays classic movies. I ran across some articles on the West End Theater. Is it still in business and playing old movies?

I'm afraid I've never heard of that one. From reading some historical books, I believe Greenville had one of those "movie palaces" - ornately decorated, grand theaters, but tore it down many years ago.

The Peace Center for the Performing Arts, on the edge of the West End, has a Downtown Movies series in its Gunter Theater, and there are Moonlight Movies on Wednesday evenings in May (and again in September or October) in the Peace Center's amphitheater.

I assume you are referring to the short-lived "West End Movies" venue, which wasn't a traditional movie theater. Two alternatives are currently available in the West End area.
