Just got back from a short trip to town,we are moving after 6years in 2 small burgs in WV. We lived in one county with a population of about 8500 in all most 1000sq.ml. Needless to say we were overwhelmed. But we love the area and was VEARY happy to get back to the South! The best food and grocery stores that I have seen in a long time. Thank You every one for the help on this site.

Glad you had a nice visit! I am confident you will quickly acclimate to life in Greenville. One of my favorite things about Greenville is that it has a lot to offer, but in a very approachable and relatively compact area compared to the really large metros.

I know this is going to sound ignorant but when I lived in SW VA near the WV border there was nothing but coal mining and fast food unless you owned a small business. I was in Wheeling on business once and it was basically the same. Morgantown was going on because of WVU...but other than that I found WV's "Open For Business" signs to be literally laughable. SC, especially Greenville, the fastest growing city, is a big step. I hope it works for you.

What did you do in WV?

It is a long sad story,I thought living in the woods would be cool and we came from north Fl. so we wanted 4 seasons, what we got was long winters and about 150ins of snow.As for what I have done here, lost alot of money and my mind.I did not research the area and I made a serious mistake. My mistake! I hope I have learned my lesson. I hope I never see another Friend Of Coal sign ever again.
