As a lifetime resident of Simpsonville I dare say you are going to love it here. I do not personally know anyone in that neighborhood but my son lives in one just up the road from there. You will be 10 minutes from Fairview Road where the store and restaurants are located and maybe 20 minutes from downtown Greenville if you desire a more congested atmosphere. Let me know when you get into town and I will meet you at Panera Bread on Fairview and buy you a cup of coffee.

A co-worker lives there and likes it alot. However, he does send his kids to private school so I do not know much about the ones around there.

i think the elementary for there is fork shoals, anyone know it? i've looked at great schools etc. but they don't really tell you a lot. We're teachers so we know that good test scores don't necessarily make a good school.

One of my best friend's kids go to Fork Shoals, and they have been very happy with it. I know they are not planning on sending their kids to whatever middle school they are zoned for, but they have loved Fork Shoals Elementary. They toured several schools (public, private, etc) before going ahead with Fork Shoals- I know she was very impressed by the principal when she toured there initially, and they have been happy with their teachers, too. Hope that helps!

As a grandfather of two children that attend Fork Shoals I can say it is excellent.
Fork Shoals Elementary Woodmont Middle and Woodmont High
We have no idea why we must drive my the new Ralph Chandler Middle School to take the kids to Woodmont Middle.

I live in Weatherstone and like it. We've been here 2 years. I feel like we are some of the younger folks here and I'm having trouble meeting/getting to know who lives where. I seemed to know most of my neighborhood in ATL but it was laid out differently which made it easier to know who lived where.

I have no complaints except for the fact that there are still so many empty lots still which means constant/ongoing construction.

I have volunteered at FSE and plan to send my kids there when they are old enough....not sure about middle/high schools yet though.

My clients who have purchased homes in Weatherstone seem to love it. Anytime we talk, and I ask them how everything is going, they talk about the neighborhood more than the house. I typically take that as a good sign!

Default Don't do it

Simpsonville is cookie cutter central, way far from downtown...and for people that can't afford Greenville. It's the pits. Trying to get out.
