This Greenville location, not Greer, closed because it was in a bad accessible location, and thus became underperforming. Bad access casuses customers to go elsewhere easily accessible.
I don't know the background, but Michelin bought the property and intends to improve the accessibility and green space around the Headquarters. Subway will stay open.
I love Wendys, and that was closest to home, but I rarely ate there. It became a joke about how long the service took, how many employees could be seen standing around doing nothing (or cackling while gossiping) while the line backed up, etc.
And quality control? We always had to check our to-go orders because something would ALWAYS be left out.
At the Wendy's on 291, if you get an errant order and go in the store to correct it, they might throw in an extra apple pie/fries/small Frosty, something. The Parkway could care less, and they reeeeaaaallllyyy would take their time getting your missing item. That store, and it's apathetic staff, gave Wendy's a bad name.
It's close to our home and we rarely went there even though we love Wendy's. I agree with what's been said above about poor service and terrible access (easy to get in - a horror at times to get out if you wanted to get back to Pelham).

I've never went to this one even though it is very close to my house because of the layout. I travel over to the Woodruff Road one if I have a Wendy's craving when I'm home.
Agreed on how bad the service at this one was. They never got our orders right in the drive in and seemed to have cared less. We finally stopped going as the service was that bad.
