My parents were down for the weekend and they mentioned that all Sheetz gas stations in North Carolina have free air. I haven't seen any stations in the Greenville area that do - but I can't say I've looked at every one I've been to. Are there any stations (or brands) that offer free air around here?

This is no help as I know of absolutely NO gas stations having tire inflation as a free service.

Air! That's how far we've come - even air isn't free!

This is a great question - I haven't found any gas/service stations in the Greenville area with free air - they're all about 75 cents - does QT/QuickTrip offer free air?

drfranklin - great idea about QT. I checked their website, and it looks like the locations that have opened in Spartanburg do offer free air. The locations that are currently under construction in Greenville/Greer aren't on their website yet, but I assume the air would be free there as well.

I asked Mauldin Patch the same thing last week. Kellett's in Mauldin used to have an air hose out but everytime I go by there now it isn't there. Air stations are often targets of theft or destruction so I understand why little is offered free, but come on; someone has got to offer free air. I'd prefer a place by Mauldin City Hall as I rarely leave the area where I live.

Why not purchase a $20 compressor and keep it in the car? Just wondering.

I have looked at that ruvidu; but those need to use the lighter jack and it doesn't work in my car. If you know of one that runs on battery or AC power, please share.

The gas stations I frequent seem to keep the stores quite comfortable. And they have never asked me to pay for heating or air............

I did just that for quite a while, but the compressor broke a few weeks ago and I haven't had a chance to go buy a new one, which got me wondering about free air at gas stations.
