The lighting is for additional safety and visibility that your headlights can't provide fully

Is it really that big a deal? To me the state of the road matters more than whats lighting it.

Plenty of large cities with no lights, while you had small areas like Lumberton, NC that were fully lit. Just depends.

Um, sarcasm! I know what the lights are for! Not every road in the world is lit up with lights......

Well, if my tax dollars are going to pay for something I would like to see it properly maintained.

they will definitely need to maintain lighting around the new interchange. the lack of lighting at the interchange with I-85 and the beltway in Atlanta has messed me up a couple of times and I got in the wrong lane.

The only place on any Columbia area interstate with lighting are the interchange lights where 126 and 26 split and at the Broad River Bridge on 126. I have always said they need to have lighting on 20 and 26 the whole way through as they need on 85 through Greenville.

I care especially seeing how my tax dollars went towards the installation of these lights.
