Possibly going to rent a house in Travelers Rest right on State Park Rd. safe?? (Greenville: rental homes)

So I drove down here from Chicago on Thursday. Already loving it!

Today I received a fantastic job offer with Kia of Greer so I got to work on scoping the area to see what I like. Some of you suggested I look at Travelers Rest in another thread I started since it has some of the nature-y things I like.

I was driving on state park rd and about half a mile from the park entrance are a group of duplex homes and one is for rent. I'm going to take a look at it in the morning and just wanted to get your view on it as those duplexes seem a bit rough, although in a fantastic location.

That is an excellent area, but it isn't in TR. It is actually close to Cherrydale and within a short drive from downtown Greenville. I know a few people who rent within a mile of Paris Mountain State Park (in the A-frame quadplex rental homes) on State Park Road and they are very pleased with the neighborhood and the location.

Oooops, yeah you are correct sir. I didn't realize that at first until I looked at the map.

I'm going to look at the house tomorrow and possibly put a deposit down! Very excited

State park road is very convenient to the cherrydale area and only ~10 minutes to downtown. It would be a good place to stay while hunting down a house.
