I am looking for any and all recommendations for an Architect and builder combo to design from scratch a unique mountain home. It will be built on a lot with a pretty good slope, so I am looking for a builder that has significant experience with that. I am considering the $300,000 range for construction of a 3 bedroom home with a unique modern design--not interested in flipping through pages of predesigned plans. Does anybody have any recommendations on who to interview for this task? Thanks in advance!

Sounds great! Can I visit when you have moved in?

Try David Langley with Langley & Associates, located in downtown Greer. He's good and he is a good guy.

Go see Tom Markalunas at Resort Custom. Tom actually moved his family from Vail, CO to Greenville in 2004 to form the current company. Fantastic person and a great architect.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am also looking for an architect that feels comfortable incorporating some industrial aspects into the home (I.e commercial windows, exposed metal beams, etc)
