More of this, along with actual education on how the system works, etc would improve ridership, and hopefully help justify increased frequencies and/or more routes.
Interesting that this topic came up since Greer and Greenville are currently looking at Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects (separate efforts).
The Greenville project will create a route along the old rail corridor from CU-ICAR to Pleasantburg and would then get on Laurens Rd to downtown. The idea would be that it would have stops no more than every 1/2 mile to mile.
There is a meeting for the Greer BRT today from 4-6.
The next Greenville meeting will be May 31st at 6pm at the West Greenville Community Center.
Yeah, an Engineer inspected my house. Made me aware of the initial plans like 4 or 5 years ago.
Is there still a Millions in city budget for this?
