UPS guy didn't leave a couple packages on my porch last night and had to deliver them this evening so that I could sign for them.
Driver said the other day he noticed some teenagers walking up to a porch and taking a package he had delivered. He called the police and they nabbed the guys. Evidently they did it a lot. I'm so thankful they were caught.
Oh geez! If only Greenville had something constructive for teenagers to do, this would not be an issue!
Maybe if the parents of this little darlings would do their job this would not happen. I do not believe it takes a village to raise a child. It takes parents who want to see their children succeed in life.

So are you saying that teenagers lack the self control to do the right thing unless they are distracted by constructive activities? That would be a sad commentary on a generation if it were true.
There is plenty for teens to do, especially if their parents would engage with them. Volunteer organizations, part time jobs, sports, musical instruments, church choirs, academic clubs, etc etc. The most important thing though is I was taught not to take what isn't mine or I would go to jail. Looks like they didn't take heed to that lesson until it was too late. Glad the UPS guy was proactive in this case.
Oddly enough the delivery ppl seem to like to drop packages off inside my open garage and dont knock or anything. Its like a present when I now my lawn on the weekend...

I noticed that at my house, too. I guess 'in the garage' is a little safer than on the porch, but either way, I'd still rather them leave the package instead of trying to redeliver.
Some will ring ring the doorbell even if signature is not required. Others do not. Since I telecommute and am home all day, I appreciate getting the heads up with the doorbell. It doesn't take but one extra second. Wish all would do it.

No. I was commenting in jest about the number of threads in this forum that suggest that Teens have nothing to do...
