I checked out 2 bedroom bungalow type houses the other day on a real estate web site for Greenville, and was shocked to see that there are houses for sale below $50,000!!!!! Some of them look very cute and charming. Is this too good to be true???

Reason: Didn't include the location for the question.
Although homes in SC are very affordable, those priced under $50k need to be looked at with a close eye. Could be a foreclosure which needs major repairs, or the location is less than desireable. Home may have no insulation, or no heating/cooling systems. There are a multitude of reasons for why a home would have such a low purchase price.
