Not Bass Pro Shops but close. Woodruff Road will be more of a nightmare than ever. This will put a hurting on Academy Sports.

What a coup. This is so awesome. I've been to one Cabela's (in PA) and spent 4 hours there. Such an awesome store. Woohoo!

Definitely excited about the store. But not looking forward to the increased traffic.

Orange building right along I-385 between Toys R Us and Hollywood 20 is where they'll go no doubt: http://www.magnoliapark.com/pdf/Magn...rk_MP_2012.pdf

Glad to see Menin following the site plan and old Montgomery Ward building finally getting demolished. Should be a big tourism boost.

Is that big enough?

If it's two stories, it should be. If Menin takes out the town center for a Cabela's I will be extremely upset. Good thing it has to go for Planning Commission approval first.

I hope WYFF4 is wrong, it sounded like they thought the site for it was the old MW.

I just don't understand why it needs to locate on Woodruff, why can't it be in Greer near I-85? In my opinion, it makes the city look bad by having that type of retailer within city-limits; that's a store that should be just outside the city not in the main retail district. Plus it will enact too much competition within such a small area, I know laissez-faire but the city shouldn't allow this be built there. I'm all for jobs, but this in the long run could put other businesses out of business not to mention how would a Cabelas fit it in with the future tenants? Hypothetically speaking, how would a Cabelas fit in with The Cheesecake Factory, Z Gallery, etc? That's like seeing a Tiffany on White Horse Road.

But that's just my 2 cents, I'm glad to hear them coming but the location is totally wrong.
