Thanks everyone. We will be in town next weekend for a 'house hunt'...and will be sure to heed the Woodruff warnings!
A special shout out to Helen G for her "Yogi-ism"...very nice.
We are set to search Greer, Taylors, and Simpsonville/Fountain Inn...while wrapping things up with Greenville Homes on the eastern edge of town. Wife will be interested in location of shopping, restaurants, and general layout. One day will be dedicated to 'new construction' with Ryan, DR Horton, Adams, and Eastwood.
In the evenings we hope to spend as much time downtown as possible.
From what we are seeing via the internet...it is difficult to discern in choosing between each of the little townships surrounding Greenville. We have viewed some very nice homes < $250K in multiple areas. This is going to be a tough decision. Can't wait to get 'boots on the ground'. Hopefully one area will 'jump out' at us.
Woodruff Road is too crowded. No one goes there anymore.

Okay, this was just too funny not to point out. I knew that quote, but forgot who it was at first. I am surprised how many heads that whooshed right over.

I readily admit I never heard the Yogi Berra comment before but I don't think the way it's phrased is applicable here. However , if that was the intention of the OP more power to her for creating a'Seinfeld-ish' type of discussion here.
If you go downtown plan to spend a long time looking to park if you do not want to pay for parking.
