I'm moving to the area this summer and need to find a new bank. Currently, I'm a Chase customer, but Chase has no branches in SC.

What are the major banks in the Upstate area? I'm looking specifically for one with branch/ATMs downtown and also one that has solid online banking services since I pay all of our bills online. I'd also prefer something with a national presence so that I can use "in network" ATMs when I travel.

I think I remember seeing Bank of America and TD bank downtown. Got any other suggestions?

I use SunTrust here. I love it because they refund all my ATM fees so I don't have to worry about where they may or may not have an ATM.

BB&T is also a great option. I do most of my banking and bill paying online. bbt.com

Wells Fargo would be another option as well.

I like BB&T myself. SCBT online banking is complicated in comparison to BB&T.
