Hi Salih-
I am sorry that you are having such problems. Do you have health insurance? If you do, check with them and see if you need a referral before choosing a dermatologist. Your insurance company should have a list of doctors within the network that you can see. Check with them and ask how you should go about it.
If you do NOT have insurance, I would suggest going to a walk-in clinic or making an appointment with a family care practice. THey may be able to treat you and if they cannot, they can recommend a dermatologist.
Our family goes to Dermatology Associates on Tanner Road. All of the doctors we have seen have been great. My daughter sees Dr. Catanzaro, my son sees Dr. McCrary (he's new) and I see Dr. Poinsette.
If it is bothering you a lot right now and you can't wait until Monday, try going to one of the Minute Clinics at different CVS pharmacies. A professional will see you and evaluate your condition and may be able to treat you.
That may depend upon the specific problem you are having with your eyes. If all you need are corrective lenses, then I highly recommend the optical department in either Costco or Sam's Club. If you do not have a membership, you might try visiting the optical shop in your neighborhood Wal-Mart. If your problem goes beyond simple vision correction, then you will need to see someone with specialized medical training. Personally, I go to Dr. Samuel Garrett, OD, at Garrett Vision Center on Mills Avenue in Greenville, but I buy my eyeglasses at Costco.
Such friendly people thank you, I am very delighted to be in Greenville.
