Drove on this today going home at 5pm from Woodruff Road > Salters Rd and its a mess until you get to Verdae. The trees, grass is so over grown that there is barely enough room for two cars, no lines in the road and the speed bumps are not marked. If you haven't went this way before they closed it you're going to bottom out your vehicle on the speed bumps....

Yeah, they said on the news that only one lane is open each way right now and the project isn't fully compete yet. Wait..it's got speed bumps?
I didn't see speedbumps this morning unless they were poured today. All the lanes were open this morning around 9:00. Things must have changed drastically during the day. Not sure why they would have speed bumps when the two roads it connects doesn't.
I just got done driving along Salters Road. No speed bumps, all lines were painted, four lanes were open, and no overgrown grass. Not sure what davetech is talking about.
This is the old section salters rd between woodruff and verdae... see image... That section is a mess....

When I first read about this project, I did not understand why they were doing nothing with this part of Salters. Maybe it doesn't need widening, but it should be resurfaced, repainted, etc.

Yeah they should also realign the other end of Salters with the Mall Connector Road. Then people go right from the mall to Greenridge, Whole Foods, etc. without getting on Woodruff.

Yes agree....but that would make too much sense and that is not what we do with our roads in SC.
