Of course that will never happen. About the only way will be to (as much as I hate to say it) increase taxes.

Well right now, only the county seems interested in that and not the state. The city could never afford that amount.

Which is why a county wide 1% sales tax increase would make more sense because the extra funds created "should" stay here in Greenville.

Most people using Woodruff Road for example are planning to spend money. So the increase would help them by relieving congestion.

I'd support a 1% county sales tax increase for better roads if it were not permanent and instead expired after one year. If you want something done right you sometimes have to do it yourself. And the state is not doing it right.

There is a lot more need than just $67 million in the county. I can think of a dozen projects off the top of my head myself.

I agree. There needs to be a time limit on the increase and used only for roads. The SC Constitution allows counties to increase sales tax when needed.

Just make Woodruff Rd all "Michigan Lefts"; that would really confuse the hell out of people!

I am not a fan of diverging diamond interchanges; however, with modifications to accommodate interstate highways, they are effective.

I do not know if North Carolina's superstreet interchanges are worth considering. If you go US-221 from Chesnee up to Rutherfordton, you will see it.
