I need to find a decent land surveyor for family property in the Belton area. We don't need the entire property boundaries done, just one corner of the property consisting of 2.35ac - we already have surveys from 1955, 1994 and 1997 (and of course, all are very slightly different from each other) but we can only find 3 of the 8 pins that should be there and one of the pins is, if accurate, clearly indicating a neighbor needs a "friendly reminder" as to where the property line is so I'd like to get this done asap.
All we need is a boundary survey (on paper) and 2 of the missing pins replaced (if they were in fact removed and it's not just us unable to find them). Nothing fancy like topo maps or autocad renderings are needed and no property had been added/subtracted since 1987.
I've searched the forum and can't find any recent recommendations for a surveyor and searching for reviews of any of the companies I have found names for has come up with nothing. Anyone have any recommendations (or companies/names to avoid)? Has anyone gotten one done recently and is willing to say what they paid for it?
