We talked about renting as well but you never know what kind of tenants you'll get. It's not definitely out of the question because we know if we can't sell, it would be something we'd have to do. Also, we'd like to have the cash to turn it back around and purchase another home.
They are flipping a bunch of them in the Mauldin area around the ICAR thing and Greenridge. That would be an ideal place to start given much of the housing in Mauldin is older but it is quickly become prime real estate.

Yes but you'd be wayyyy better off renting them around here. The rental values here are really high compared to the sales values. You can easily buy a house that is 'ready to rent' and rent it out for almost double your mortgage payment.

I handle it myself, it's not hard if you're good with a computer and taken a few business courses.
Now I'm renting on the west side of Greenville in walking distance to the baseball stadium, but I have had no problems getting tenants above a 700 credit score which is what I want. PM me if you want any other advice, it's easy.
