So apparently my engine light came on and I went to Sears to get a diagnostic and they said that I need a new Catalytic Converter and (me being the one to always get a second opinion) I went to AutoZone and they plugged up their machine and they said the same thing. So now I gotta get a new one but the question is, who around here in the Greenville area knows of a good and reputable auto mechanic that is honest and not to pricey. I saw that AutoZone sold two versions of a Catalytic Converter and one is around $200 and another is around $400...Same size and all but a different brand...I'm not trying to get a mechanic to "stiff" me into paying way too much money for the same part either.
Just Right Auto on Wade Hampton Blvd. Bill is the owner and has been around for ever. I went to him after all the great reviews I read a few years back and can't think of ever going anywhere else.
We've had good with Buchanan & Son on Poinsett Highway between downtown and Cherrydale. Family run business that's always done quick work at a very reasonable price.
I have been using Carolina Auto in mauldin for years and love them. They can sometimes take a little bit extra time since they also services all the US Mail trucks and that can back them up with work but they are always good to me.
