Asheville got #1, yes but Greenville got #17?? Although, I really like Greenville, I wouldn't consider it quirky. Well, just another top list to add us to
This is one of the goofiest lists I've seen lately. I lived in Charlottesville VA for five years and wouldn't call it quirky, either ... or Beaufort NC where my ex-wife and I stayed for a couple of nights on our honeymoon. Reading the descriptions of the various cities, I'm hard put identifying just what it was that made the author think the town is (unconventional, unusual, nonconformist) ... Greenville's apparently "quirky" because it has a great bridge downtown over the falls, Doritos with stuff poured on it in a bag, and a moonshine distillery. The article says Greenville's also #10 for being hip? Wow ... guess I missed the hipster neighborhood when I visited last year.

It think maybe it's the title. Maybe if they called it coolest downtowns or something like that.
or maybe they just don't know what "quirky" means ...
lol
