Hello,

Are there any true golf cart home communities in the Greenville area? We are looking for a community that would allow you to safely drive your golf cart to the grocery store, post office, and other shopping as well as to a community fitness center.

We are looking to spend around $250-300K for a newer home (less than 10 years old) with a garage and many nature trails nearby. We love to cycle, so having nice bicycling trails and/or safe cycling roads nearby is also important.

Thank you for your help!

Claire

Most golf course communities in Greenville County are reliant more on the automobile than the golf cart to get to various businesses and other destinations. I doubt I can list one community dependent on golf carts.

you are describing "The Villages" in Florida - there is nothing like that in the entire Upstate (?maybe Keowee Key in Oconee County - but it's far removed from dense amenities in Greenville/Easley/Anderson)

You should check into homes off of Augusta Road. I have friends that live there and drive their golf cart to dinner and yoga. Soon they will have a Harris Teeter as well so you could do your grocery shopping there.

Thank you for the replies. What about the new Verdae community? Is that golf cart accessible to stores?

Regarding the homes off off Augusta Road, is there a plan name that you could recommend?

You won't find a community like this in South Carolina, outside of Sun City in Bluffton.

Maybe Ocean Lakes Campground at the beach, but the responces to your question there have given you the same results as the other places you asked about.
