Principal Search at GTCHS (Greenville, Anderson: 2014, middle school, educational)

Curious if anyone has insight into the principal search at Greenville Tech Charter High School and why Joe Greenberg resigned his position as principal in Spring 2014 after less than one year on the job. I've heard, from one source, that he was not a "good fit" for the school, but would like to understand the situation better as we are considering this school for one of our children.

What do parents/teachers think of the current interim principal, Brodie Bricker? He looks like he has a lot of experience (former principal of Eastside High and Beck Middle School).

And what is known about the active search for a new principal? From a review of the school board notes, it looks like one candidate proposed, Dr. Tim Murph, was not approved by the required 3/4 of the board and that some educational consultants have been brought in to help with the search.

I know this High School has an excellent reputation, but I would like to get more insight on the principal situation.

The search is ongoing. I think the Board will wait for the right candidate.

The interim principal is Dr. Bricker. He is very involved in the school. As a parent of a student, I have been very pleased with his leadership.

The next Board meeting for GTCHS is Tuesday 1/19/16 from 6-8pm. I heard there may be some kind of update on the principal search at that meeting.

The new principal has been announced:

Mrs. MaryNell Anthony will assume the principalship of Greenville Technical Charter High School effective July 1, 2016. She is currently the director of the Freshman Academy at TL Hanna High School in Anderson 5.
