My dh has a landscaping business and we are looking for options to advertise. Where we used to live, there was a paper that was tossed in driveways weekly which brought most of his business. I can't seem to find anything like that here. I was wondering if there are some HOA's that have a news letter possibly that he could advertise? Where do you all look for landscaping service or can you recommend any ideas?
We frequently find ziploc bags in the driveway with 3-4 pieces of gravel and the business card for a landscaping business. I don't know how effective that is - I do all of my own landscaping.

Thanks, we do that as well. It generates some business but not enough.
If you have friends that live in subdivisions or neighborhoods, they can "refer" your company on the NextDoor app. I often look there for painters, contractors, etc... before I look other places.
Craigslist is free, I'd start there if you haven't already..
If he even has the ability to show up and provide an estimate as promised he'd already be ahead of half those goobers on CL lol.
Done that too As a matter of a fact, he always shows and is very particular with his work. These are 2 things that his clients have commended him for. Most of his business is word of mouth. It just takes time to build. You are right though, showing up for estimates is a big deal. I don't know how many times I've called for services and I can't get anyone to answer or show up.

I don't understand that.. If someone wanted to potentially give me money I would be there with bells on. Yes sir, when do you want me to get started??
I didn't know about the NextDoor App. We can try that. Thanks for all the suggestions.
