Back to topic. Teamsters Local 509 is located at 5318 Wade Hampton Blvd. It is virtually certain that workers are lining up to pick up some work. If people want to work, more power to them.

Why would teamsters be lining up at the loan company next door? Is the loan company unionized?

It is quid pro quo. Vivacity allows them to use their outside space to congregate / line up ( however you like to word it ) and when these laborers return with check or other financial products and need cash, they turn to Vivacity to help them.

Why doesn't someone, who drives by, stop and ask the people why they are in line? Problem solved!

I agree. Either its people needing work to feed their families or they need a loan to do the same. It's real life folks. No big deal for us, but it is for them.
