My sister is retired on a small income & has been looking at condos off of Rte 29/East Main Street in Spartanburg near Jesse Boyd Elementary School. She doesn't drive but bikes a lot. She has at home hobbies & just wants somewhere safe with easy access to grocery shopping, library, medical (public transportation).
Anyone have experience or knowledge of the area?
We have relatives in Duncan & she's looking to be relatively close.
Any other condo suggestions in the area are welcome. Thank you!

I don't have any statistics about crime but it seems like a nice area. My son and I have visited the nature preserve the is not too far from there; there is the Cottonwood Trail nearby.

I live very close to those Condos. They are very nice. They have a pool and an older tennis court. The condos are located near a neighborhood called Hillbrook. The condos are very close to Hillcrest shopping center. There are very good sidewalks between the condos and Hillcrest. The eastside of Spartanburg has a lot of trails and great neighborhoods to ride bikes. The city bus has a stop very close to the entrance to the condos.

There is a condo for sale there at a great price. I just looked it up online. I had a friend who lived there and she really loved it. It is a very safe area and centrally located to everything.

This appears to be the Fernwood Glendale Road area. East Spartanburg is a good area.
