I'm looking for recommendations for a new church in Spartanburg. I would love it to have modern worship and be accepting of someone who has been divorced in the past and remarried and that would allow me to actually get involved. A great kids program would also be great.
The Genesis service at First Baptist Spartanburg sounds like what you are looking for. The kids programs there are top notch, and I believe you will find people accepting of you regardless of the past.
Nearly every church has a website these days. That's a good place to start to learn more about a particular church. Many of Spartanburg's churches have adopted "modern" worship services that incorporate contemporary and upbeat music, alternative worship services and times, and children's programs.
One thing about it, Spartanburg has LOTS of churches and virtually all nearly all faiths are represented. If you can't find a church in Spartanburg, you won't find one anywhere.
Thanks for the responses. I was just hoping to get some insight possibly from people. I've been a member at a church in Spartanburg for years but the time has come that we need to leave and not really sure where to start looking. Thanks again for the replies.
We attend First North. We have loved it. Pastor is excellent. Great kids programs. Great music. We attend the traditional service but you'd probably like the contemporary service.

New Spring is fantastic. We relocated from Syracuse eight months ago, checked out a few churches and really appreciate this church. It's modern, inspiring, non judgmental. All walks of life.
