We're visiting the area in late November and I know on a previous thread of mine, hotels were recommended but I really can't remember all of the details. La Quinta seems to stick in my head.
La Quinta Inn Greenville Woodruff Road

31 Old Country Rd, Greenville, SC, 29607-4121 United States

Or this one
Save this hotel
La Quinta Inn & Suites Greenville-Haywood

(Last booked 17 hours ago)65 W Orchard Park Dr, Greenville, SC, 29615-3538 United States

Are both of these decent places to stay? The first one on average $72 a night. The second is $94 and I'm assuming it's because it's closer to the city center. I'm thinking I should probably get serious about booking a hotel now before I have no place to stay!

Please let me know if you have any recommendations on where to stay

the La Quinta Inn & Suites is much nicer. i would recommend that one. i stayed at the one one Woodruff a few times and the internet wifi connection was not stable. the one on woodruff is the type where the doors to the rooms face the parking lot.

do you mind spending more on a hotel?

In late November there will always be a play to stay. If you stay downtown it will be expensive but a little outside the city it is not bad

No not really, it's not that much more. I don't want to spend over 100 a night though. Just want a decent clean hotel.

I wouldn't stay in the off of Woodruff if you are coming in late November, especially if its over a weekend. Holiday shopping traffic is nightmare on that stretch of Woodruff, so getting in and out will be a major pain. There will be traffic in the Haywood Rd area too, but not nearly as bad as Woodruff. The La Quinta on Haywood also has traffic light access.

Oddly, the Motel 6 in Simpsonville is quite nice. My mom stays there when she comes to visit. It's one of the new modern locations.

Motel 6 is a brand. It's in Simpsonville, SC which is 15 miles south of Greenville.

the newish Hampton Inn near Haywood and 385 should be good too.
