I passed a sign for Zen Tubing just south of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville yesterday. I have no experience with them but that is an option not too far away. The river looked low to my inexpert eye.
Just took my son to Wilderness Cove outside of Hendersonville. 3 hour trip for $15/each. Included tube, drop off and pickup. With nothing to compare to, it was a fun and relaxing. Some real slower areas but also fun little "rapids" to go around. I would recommend and plan on going again at some point.
I wanted to give an update now that I am an official Greenville county resident, and I went to Green River Cove for tubing! I've never been before, but my mom has and she said it was much more challenging than the others she had been on. I personally loved it and thoroughly enjoyed the rapids. I am looking forward to trying out the other rivers too!
Heard great reviews on Zen Tubing up in Asheville.
My family did Zen tubing a couple of weeks ago and loved it. We will join them this weekend for another run at it.
