LIttle heavier frost this morning on the cars, but doesn't/didn't look like the ground had any, but I did notice after running a few errands this morning that my Hostas are withered slightly, so maybe they did get hit a little.
in the "heat island" south of downtown Greenville - my elevation is exactly 1000 feet but my lowest temp so far this fall (last night) was only 37.1 (have a Davis Vantage Vue weather station 2 meters off the ground/away from buildings/roads)
Heavy frost where I live just off State Park Rd., Greenville address. Temp dropped to 33. WYFF uses the temp from the Downtown airport. That thermometer must be near a heat source.
We got down to about 36 in Tigerville, and no frost. This AM is warmer; about 40. It's really odd how the temperatures fluctuate around here. Sometimes we are warmer; sometimes we are colder even than Asheville.
Going to be nice all week for the most part during the day.
Mid month it will start to turn a bit wetter than normal, but temps during the day should be decent for this time of year according to a long range forecast I'm looking at.
