Read all about it in tomorrow's Greenville News. Renderings will be released then. Two 11-story buildings joined by retail corridor. Developers are TIC Properties and Cousins Properties. This is the woolworth site development between West Washington Street and Piazza Bergamo along Main Street. Architect is HKS Inc.
The thirteen story building will be a hotel not condos. 125-165 rooms. The eleven story building is office and will be located along Main Street between Piazza Bergamo and West Washington Street. Behind that will be a retail/restaurant corridor that will lead to the hotel which will be built between the corridor and the BofA building.
So, it will be an 11 story and 13 story building. Oops. Not that i'm complaining though.
This is some great news! This will add to the density of downtown. Like I said on a earlier thread, the height will come soon enough. Imagine whats going to happen to Greenville when the economy straightens out.
Good to see things are still in the works for the downtown. Now, I'm still waiting to see what, if anything, is happening with that big proposed Bass Pro Shop development near Greer. That proposal sounded very exciting, even though it is not in the downtown area.

i'm glad the buildings look nice and traditional and not too "moderny". i hate those. i like classic buildings that look good all the time. not buildings that clearly look their decade.
And here i thought the city gave up on all development, its good to see a couple projects in the works, I cant wait to see three or four cranes in the skyline at once.

With a couple of the chronic whiners that post on these forums, you'd be right to think so. So much on tap for Greenville that hasn't even surfaced to the public yet.
I agree with you....four or more cranes up downtown will be a sweet thing to see.
