Hi all!
I am interested in knowing your experiences and recommendations (good and bad) with local car dealerships. My husband and I have started looking for a new (to us) pre-owned vehicle and just don't know who to trust in the Greenville-Spartanburg area. Would prefer to go through a dealership.
Any input? Many thanks in advance!
Stay away from the Greenville Toyota dealership on Laurens. They are crooks. We have a Toyota that was purchased at another dealership and have had nothing but headaches from the Greenville dealership in getting it serviced. They flat out lied and cheated us out of a lot of money, twice. We tried to chalk up the first incident as a mis-communication, but after they screwed us a second time I can only conclude that it is their policy to lie.
I haven't lived here long enough to know about the dealerships, and I am probably going to have a new motor put in my Hyundai when it dies (love that car!) but when I want reviews I check out yahoo local. Dallas City Pages on Yahoo! Local. Find Businesses, Services and Events near Dallas, TX You can check by type of business or business name and see if there are any reviews.
CD is of course a great source too, but I would still check out both.
I don't know why the link mentions Dallas. That isn't what it's about!

Reason: Cuz I'm puzzled!
I have not purchased a car here, but have had my Honda worked on at two different dealerships. My experience with Breakaway Honda service department was not the best. They have a very high labor rate. I did have a good experience with Hendricks Honda in Easley, plus their labor rate is a fraction of Breakaway's.

I second the feeling about Greenville Toyota. It's a decent place to shop at but buy it somewhere else. Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville is really good. Breakaway Honda is OK but I got a much better deal at Dick Brooks Honda.
