Greenville’s Red Sox Single A affiliate baseball team, the Greenville Drive, announced today they are the winners of the seventh annual National Sports Forum ADchievement Awards “Overall Award of Excellence” for their 2009 advertising campaign. Created in partnership with the Drive’s agency of record, Erwin-Penland, the entries showcase the brand and America’s favorite pastime.
As the only Minor League organization in any sport to win the Overall Award of Excellence, the Greenville Drive competed head-to-head with major league teams in this year’s voting, including the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco 49ers, Milwaukee Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Oakland A’s and Minnesota Vikings, as well as Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
