Side note: Burying the power lines on Haywood Road has made it MUCH more aesthetically appealing.
Couldn't agree more. Moving here from California, where every powerline is buried, it was a bit of a shock to see what looked like giant clotheslines along side every road.

I can see why they would bury them in earthquake areas with constant aftershocks. They would be constantly erecting those things all the time. Here, I think the costs just didn't justify the benefits and now its more costly than ever.
Obviously, in new developments, they are buried. It is an aesthetic luxury to bury existing overhead lines; prohibitively expensive! However, in certain areas with large, mature trees, it is something more urgent (as discovered in the ice storm here in 2005).
Tried Culvers and really fail to understand all of the hype that this place has generated. Sonic/Whopper/Wendys tastes better if you are in the mood for fast food. Place isn't cheap either. Yes, the custard is good but other than that I have no reason to go back. Also noticed that the night crowds are way down.

Fair enough, but keep in mind there is a huge menu with lots of choices. If you just had a burger, give it another try sometime, maybe with fish or chicken dinner, tenderloin, etc. Culver's is not cheap, but I never eat at the other three you mentioned, though.
I usually shop at Tony's fabrics if I buy something local or I end up buying it online for cheaper than someone like Jo Ann sells for. However, I will at least be able to use a local Jo Ann location to go in and look at some of the fabrics in person without having to request a sample before buying somewhere online :P
