Might be cool if everyone lists 1 single place they would consider their favorite place to eat in the Greenville/upstate area. I know a lot of people have many favorites but if you could only pick a single place that you would recommend to someone coming from out of town for 1 evening, what would it be?

For me, I have to say I love Bellacinos in downtown Greenville more than any other restaurant in the area. My wife and I take out of towners there every single time we have visitors and we generally eat there at least weekly. The grinders and the pizza are both the best I've had out of anywhere I've lived (and that includes Alaska, Washington state, Kansas, Florida, and others).

So, anyone else? Would be nice to get a list of "top favorites" going. No listing more than 1, you have to choose your absolute favorite! Also it doesn't have to be a place local to Greenville, franchises are OK too.

I took my grandfather to Bellacino's when he was in town a few months ago and he loved it. Can't stop talking about his seafood sub.

I'd have to say my favorites would be a toss up between Trios, Handi, and Bellacino's.

Probably would have to be P.F. Chang's! It's not my favorite Chinese restaurant, but overall, my wife and I love to go there the best!

Good one! Fantastic food, and an authentic, old Greenville place with TONS of atmosphere!

I've NEVER lived in a city (and I've lived in Atlanta & Birmingham in the past) with so many GOOD choices, from the upscale to the mom & pop joints. It's SOOO hard to pick just one, but I'd have to say Addie's Dutch Cafe downtown. Much like The Peddler, it DRIPS drips with atmosphere, and serves WONDERFUL continental food in a casual setting.

I've never heard of Addie's Dutch Cafe but it sounds awesome! I've never been to Peddler either but I hear great things about it - I'll have to try it!

All in all Greenville is an amazing area for food which is why I thought it would be a great idea for people to share their favorites - so many places to try here!
