I wish I could send you some of our beautiful weather..............this is the season to be in Florida....sunny and warm days, cool evenings and nights. come summer we pay for it with the heat and humidity......but it is a fair trade off. I love it.

Wouldn't that be great? If we could trade a weather day with a deserving northerner? I'd love one day of crisp cold snow around Christmas, and in return I'd gladly send up a sunny 75 degree day in February. It is lovely and warm in GA today too.

You are all making me envious. I'll be coming to that warm weather in March or April. Maybe even February if the weather permits.

Wow, when I made this my defining year the weather sure cooperated by making it miserable.

Just remind me of this when it's hot & humid, lol.

We're waiting for a nasty sleet-storm. Oh boy! The grade school next door shut down today and nothing happened weather-wise today. Just cold - about 22 degrees. It's Saturday and Sunday that they say will sleet and ice on us - about an inch to an inch and a half of it, even!

We shopped for some groceries today and made sure the car had gas in it for the weekend. We may be staying inside all weekend. I'll study!

Good for you. That's what we do here too, make sure the home is contained & then just stay inside.

You were so close on your test! I'm glad to see you're planning to study. Good luck.

Cyn, do you work at a pet store? I love your love of pets.
Elston, what is with the brown water thread in Fort Myers? Something to think about?
Everyone, stay safe & have a good night.

Yes meo, I was blessed with a part time job at the local Petsense store. We don't have a lot of living animals--just some cats we try to get adopted for the humane society, reptiles, no snakes and Beta fish. That works for me because I hate seeing animals in cages etc. but I do love seeing our kitties at the store find forever homes!! I think I was born loving animals--God just made me that way! My animals are my family!
Work today, some rain and cooling temperatures coming.
Elko, stay safe and stay in during this storm. Studying sounds like a perfect fir for this kind of day!
Meo, I am so amazed and proud of your decision making right now.
Elston, it's wonderful you have finally found a place that is perfect for you and your DP. I am so happy for you!
Have a blessed day everyone!

Meo...........there is an ecological problem being played out in Florida...........it boarders on an ecological disaster.....it is complicated and too complicated for this thread. It is the old conflict between profits and environment with a big mix of politics and lobbiests.

There are fixes...but also lots of resistance. I wouldnt buy directly on one of the canals in Cape Coral, at this time and small boaters need to "think about it".

It has no direct effect on my life..............except I am concerned for the earth.
