Not sure what to think about Bubba today.......he went to the bathroom at 7am, ate at 2pm but has no desire to go out for a walk at all. That is not like him. maybe he's just tired and it is hot. I am praying.....

cyn - our 13 y/o Pomeranian is deciding not to walk (he used to run) out our door any more to go to the bathroom outside on the grass in our back yard. No kidding - we don't know what his problem is, after we put him down outside he goes to the bathroom...eventually! He's getting older but he doesn't seem to have arthritis problems - just seems to be a bad case of laziness. Or something.

Wish I had answers to all of our critters ailments...but sadly I don't. I might add a teaspoon of pure (nothing added) pumpkin to his dog food.. Maybe he's constipated? Sometimes the heat can cause that if they aren't drinking enough water. Anyhow while I was out at dinner my neighbor came by to get some boxes and saw my car was here so she honked her horn and knocked on my door which got Bella and Bubba up and going. By the time I got home from dinner they anxiously went out and did their deed--thankfully. Now this morning Bubba is upset to his tummy again and won't eat. It's all just the way this IBS goes. He should be okay by this afternoon. I gave him a Gas-x and that usually clears it up. I hope so.
I have church today and am suppose to meet-up with a girl from my work that is a groomer after church. She wants me to clean her rabbit cages once a week so that will bring in a few more dollars--every bit helps!
Have a blessed day everyone!

I understand that many of us who own fur-babies and have lost a loved one turn to our fur-babies for comfort. I am now the proud caregiver for my fur-babies--more then ever before!! I take it very seriously--it's like I went from one love to my others! I have to believe it happens to many of us! Guess the "caregiver" in us doesn't just disappear!

You are right, cyn. You do a good job of it. My wife does a wonderful job with our two dogs and two cats. We both work with the animals - right now we're grooming the Chow. We bathed her last night and started thinning her undercoat out. We read that if you use the blue Dawn soap it will kill bugs on them and Meggy May has been scratching and chewing her skin in different parts of her body for a few weeks. We may seek out some more bug killing remedies for her and possibly take her in from fur grooming if we can't cut her fur successfully ourselves. She's already had her flea and tick medicine for August at the regular time, so we're trying to figure out what she's got so we can treat it correctly. I think we'll get it - I need to take more time with it and do it right. The Pom's fur is all growing back - we're feeding them Rachael Ray dry dog food and Cotey the Pom's fur is now growing back thick and puffy! He's a little doll - we need to encourage him to go outside to go to the bathroom some more, though. It's always something with 4 animals, isn't it?

So today is the Big day---the eclipse! I hope to be home by then from my therapy and just stay inside! I'll watch it on tv! No need to risk any more problems with my eyes!
I am taking my kitty "405" to the vet this morning to get her monthly shots for that mouth infection that keeps returning! I can always tell when it's about time as she doesn't eat well. Bubba seems to be okay this morning. He ate but didn't do his morning deed so maybe next walk in an hour or so.
Hope everyone has a lovely day!
