Good morning elston and everyone who stops by! Thank you Bambo!
Had those racing thoughts going through my mind again last night so sleep was difficult. At least I don't work today. I guess it's all part of trying to keep moving forward--alone. Just some times it is pretty overwhelming but it has to be done so one more day behind me!
Hope everyone enjoys their day today!
My poor McKenzie is obviously failing.....I don't think we will have her much longer probably a matter of days. Her appetite and gait and balance are really poor. She isn't in any pain and seems more confused about why she feels sick. This is so hard.
In the meantime....life goes on for us. I have to go to the roof tile distribution center on Marcos Island...to select roof tiles. I now know more about roof tiles than I ever thought I would have to know. We are looking at concrete tiles; that is pretty much what all the houses in our area have. The contractor may pick me up sometime this morning to go over to look at actual tiles .... not just pictures in a catalog. My DH has expressed some opinions but has left it up to me to make the choice. I hope he likes what I decide because the life expectancy of the tiles is longer than ours. I told him he will be stuck with my decision.....he said he trusts me to make a good choice.
So sorry to hear about McKenzie, elston. I know you will do what is best for her, but it is never easy to watch our beloved pets struggling.
Cyn, my anxiety has been through the roof lately. Mind racing, heart racing. I can't seem to find any lasting relief. I am not 'alone', but am finding it increasingly difficult to keep moving forward. So much loss and sadness in the world.
So I have no advice, but offer my understanding and support to those who need it.
And believe me there are many who appreciate your understanding and support Molly! I think the sadness the world is in right now is a big part--weather does play a role and then of course the obvious--losses.
My dear dear elston--I feel so badly about McKenzie--I am going through the same thing with my Bella. She is not wanting to eat and even walks are of little interest to her lately. It breaks my heart!

McKenzie just ate a couple of slices of braunschweiger (liverwurst)......its not a balanced meal but at this point that is not the most important thing.
I am poaching her some chicken breast....if she won't eat it.....I can use it for sandwiches.
