So I had high hopes of going out to dinner tonight for my birthday but my girlfriend is working and will be tired so I won't push the issue. I'm trying to do some cleaning out of the books that need to be donated--2 big boxes full already. So much more to do....sigh....hope everyone is having a blessed day!

My wonderful neighbors (the husband is the one with ALS) brought me over a piece of cake with a candle on it and a Subway sandwich plus a couple of birthday cards. How nice! My girlfriend and I are looking at going out tonight if she isn't to tired after work. We'll see. Have a lovely day everyone!

I can feel the neighborly love....right thru the computer. How sweet of them.

The young couple behind me are also wonderful. He came over in the afternoon yesterday and put the piece he repaired on my car--the rear hatch handle--then he showed me 10 staples he got put on the top of his head after he had a piece of a hold digging tool come apart and it hit him on the top of the head the night before. I sure wouldn't have wanted him to fix my car after he had that happen but he did! I am very blessed here....yes it is lonely and rural but the neighbors for the most part are the best!

Happy belated birthday, cyn. I had mine a few days ago and took myself out to lunch. I had an okay day. I don't have any friends down here but at least I don't have to shovel or mow anymore! That is wonderful.
